As a summary they wrote:

This school continues to be good. The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection.

Your school is a very calm and purposeful place to learn. This was a strength of the school previously that you have maintained. Pupils in classes work diligently on their own and with each other.

As St. Peter’s is a church school we last had a Section 48 inspection, which looks at the quality of the religious education provided by the school and the content of the school’s collective worship, in May 2012. It also reports on the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils at the school. A short summary is shown below.

The distinctiveness and effectiveness of St Peter’s CE Primary School, Cowfold as a Church of England school are outstanding.  This is a school which is very well respected by its parents and community. Its Christian character is at all times very evident, stemming from the attitudes of staff, parents and  governors and the ways pupils respond to how they are treated as unique individuals. The Christian values of love for one another, care for others less fortunate and the place of prayer throughout the school day are all-embracing and create an atmosphere where all concerned with the school feel valued and nurtured.
